“Osborne Farm Haystacks CT”

I crave long views overlooking hilly territory, one of the reasons I keep being drawn back to the Litchfield Hills in CT. I found my favored subject on the Osborne's Farm. I was immediately excited by the panorama and distant hills, but it was only when I ranged far from the initial observation point that I found these haystacks and grasses and had my painting. They provided the foreground interest, color and shape variation, and lead in that the subject needed.
