The Pomfret School, CT
|
On the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed
grounds of a venerable boarding school in Pomfret
CT, this School Building was designed by architect
Earnest Flagg and completed in 1907. Although it was
already September and I was lucky enough to be in the
shade the day I painted this, it was extraordinarily
hot and I ended up having a pretty bad heat reaction.
But it had been a fun painting session and I was warmly
cared for and had a nice visit afterwards by lovely
people at the Rectory School.
