“Brownsville Valley, VT”

This painting is up at the top of my list of personal favorites. The scene is the kind I've searched for endlessly, all over, so I couldn't have been more excited when taken to this overlook by locals. It was a gorgeous summer day and I was with fellow painters in a beautiful place, a situation hard to beat in my book, and I got totally into the flow. Finally, all the years of practice and struggle were paying off as I could successfully create the effects needed to put my concept onto canvas. When I view this painting now, I feel peace and joy.
